China is experiencing an increase in socioeconomic inequality comparison to the global trend. Employing hukou registration as a focal point, this study seeks examine social capital differences between developed and underdeveloped regions China. As data for analysis were from Family Panel Studies, was measured by trust, participation, networks. The Gini coefficient, measure of economic inequality, calculated 25 different provinces paper. In light fact that these are panel collected 2014 2018, employed random-effect model analysis. first finding individuals, environment characterized high levels have low Second, inverse relationship varies according element. Specifically, observed trust networks, but not participation. Third, moderated capital. rural revealed stronger than its urban counterpart. This indicates negative impact on resulted additional among holders.
